Election Calendar

Four elections are scheduled in Pima County in 2025, two in U.S. Congressional District 7 and two in the City of Tucson. Check your Registration to see whether you are eligible for these elections.

Note: City of Tucson Elections are conducted by the City of Tucson Elections Department.

U.S. Congressional District 7
A Special Election will be held in U.S. Congressional District 7 to fill the vacancy created by the death of U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva.
There are two congressional districts in Pima County, CD6 and CD7. Check this map to see whether you live in District 7. Use the "Districts – U.S. Congressional" layer in Step 2.
Special Primary Election: July 15, 2025
Special General Election: September 23, 2025

City of Tucson
The City of Tucson will administer City Council elections in Wards 5 and 6. The Pima County Recorder’s Office is only responsible for Voter Registration and Signature Verification.
The City of Tucson Elections Department - not the Pima County Recorder - will automatically mail a ballot to every eligible voter and is responsible for replacement ballots and Election Day Voting Sites. For more information visit the City of Tucson's Election page.

July 15 – CD7 Special Primary Election

  • Last day to register to vote: June 16
  • Early Voting begins/Early Ballots mailed: June 18
  • Last day to request Mail Ballot: July 7
  • Recommended deadline to mail back your ballot: July 8
  • Election Day (Vote or Drop Off Early Ballot): Tuesday, July 15
August 5 - City of Tucson Primary Election
